Who is "Keota"?
Keota is a small town on the eastern plains of Colorado . Much of the history of the state and region is exemplified in the story of Keota: perserverence, creativity, hopefulness, disappointment, and rebirth. Its story is told in depth at the
Colorado History Museum
Keota is also the name of our beloved mascot, a 90 pound Great Pyrennes of great intelligence and gentle strength.
